Metz is a city in north-east France with a continental climate, where the remenants of industrial and military activity co-exist alongside flourishing commerce… Not far off, in the depths of his den, Le singe blanc is stirring.

Le singe blanc is an albino primate who lives holed-up in an abandonned garage near the Valley de la Fench. It is thought that he feeds exclusively on industrial waste and what's left of the Maginot Line…

Le singe blanc thinks that he is a musician…

He dreams of a spontaneous and energetic music which smashes convention. But what are his weapons ?

Two bass guitars and a drum. And of course his voice, or rather his weird + wonderful gurglings.

In November 2000 Le singe blanc breaks loose and the adventure begins. In July 2001, Acracia Production proposes that he go on tour. So he alternates between sound recordings and concerts in France, Luxembourg and Belgium.

In January 2004 he produces his fourth album, WITZ, independently, which is played on the airwaves of the Ferarock radio and is now distributed by Mandaï_Distribution (Belgium, Netherlands).

Our monkey participates in the final of the Printemps de Bourges and Eurockéennes selections and he is now forging himself a reputation on the European independent rock scene.
