NANCY JAZZ PULSATION
Le Singe Blanc distils a way-out and very particular rock style, born
of frustration at the asepticised state of today's rock scene. Preferring
the configuration of two bass guitars and a drum to the traditional guitar-bass-
drum set-up, Le Singe Blanc spurns alternative, melodic and other progressive
genres and creates its own style of "regressive rock". Raw,
scorched sounds, with a lyrical accompaniment straight out of the asylum
and an effectively chaotic rhythm, Le Singe Blanc offers welcome relief
from rock that lets itself be pigeon- holed.

GUITAR PART / July - August 2003
It's been ages since I heard something so completely out there ! These
guys from Lorraine speak to us from another planet and for some they will
be hailed as heirs of the legacy handed down by " The Magma Enterprise
"…
Their musical trip is edgy, controversial and thought-provoking with echoes
of the excitingly troubling works of Captain Beefheart, Can, Père
Ubu or Public Image Ltd… Musically it is just as disturbing. Le
Singe Blanc alternates and interweaves free digressions, with wild moments
of unleashed rock and metal, fits of industrial sounds with guitars wielded
like chainsaws, hammering beats and cosmic contorsions… This mini
album should be classed as unclassable and leaves us reassured that there
are still a few Dadaists left in this country.
